Where it applies

Social sportsbooks like Fliff give bonus prize coins with a playthrough, usually 1x. See the current offers on our sportsbooks page.

Questions

Why is a bonus worth less than its face value?

Bonus coins have to be played through before they can be redeemed, and every pick carries the site’s cut. At -110 on both sides, each $1 played costs about 4.5 cents on average, so 1x playthrough on 100 bonus coins costs about 4.5 of them.

What is a free pick worth?

With a free pick (often called a free bet) you keep only the winnings, not the stake. A 10-coin free pick at -110 with a fair 50% chance is worth about 10 × 0.909 × 0.5 = 4.5 coins on average. Longer odds keep more of the value.

Is a 100% first-purchase match a good deal?

It doubles what you buy, but only the bonus part needs the playthrough, and only if the rest of the terms (time limits, minimum odds, which picks count) are fair. Buying is always optional. Never buy coins to chase a prize.

Does this work for sweepstakes casinos too?

Yes, if you use the game’s house edge instead of odds. Pick "House edge" and enter it, e.g. 3% for a slot with 97% RTP.
